Jacob Miller is studying environmental communication as a graduate student at K-State. A sixth generation Kansan, he has a unique reverence for Kansas’ land, people, and community. In May he will move to Washington DC with his partner and begin a fellowship with Environment America. But don’t worry, he’s eventually coming back. His hobbies include writing poetry, playing basketball, and being tall.

The conference favorite of 2018 returns for another informative session. You’ll hear from Kansas Heartland Owner Gordon Hibbard and CEO Amy Gross.

Health & Wellness: Christina Spencer
Co-owner of Junction City CrossFit shares ideas and knowledge on building a healthy lifestyle and maintaining balance in this health and wellness discussion.

Geared-Up Dads: Alex Tyson
A local group of new and expereinced fathers come together to share how they are becoming geared up Dads and better fathers.

This panel joins together to share their knowledge in navigating life planning with Shelli Clarkston, an experienced attorney with People’s State Bank, Blaine Cash with Thrivent Financial shares about protecting finances, and Adam Litzinger answers all of your questions about buying a new home through his work as an experienced mortgage lender.

YPs & Government: Jeff Underhill & Jerred McKee
Junction City Commissioner Jeff Underhill and Manhattan City Commissioner Jerred McKee host a panel on how they became involved in the political arena and serving their communities. Both, under the age of 40, provide a voice to the YPs at their local government level.

Branding a Family Legacy: Melissa Reed & Hildebrand Farms Dairy
A proud K-State graduate in Agricultural Communications and Journalism, Melissa serves as the operations manager at Hildebrand Farms Dairy. As a fourth generation dairy farmer, Melissa works alongside her family producing, processing, and distributing their glass bottled milk to more than 130 retail locations throughout the state of Kansas. She has built brand recognition for her company through strategic marketing with a very tight budget. Learn her tips and tricks to marketing well on a minimal budget.
